You have to know where to draw the line at some point. I maintain 3 websites just for testing stuff to see what works and what will get you banned. You also need to know what you are looking at. A lot of people in this last Google Panda update were not caught by the Panda, they were caught in the freshness update which was around the same time. You make some great points.
