Passing Information with Yahoo

I have a 2 part question. When you're creating an ad in Yahoo, do they allow you to send additional query string info with the URL attached to the ad? I do this in Google, but have never done it in Yahoo, since they're already passing the OVKEY and OVRAW info.

The second part is, do you think Yahoo will ever adopt Google's matching types? It's so frustrating the way that Yahoo does their match types. In Google, I like to pass the keyword and use it in my page. For example, if I'm bidding on Colorado Dating and the user types in any variation of that, then when they click on my ad, the value Colorado Dating will be passed and I can display that as the header on my page. In Yahoo, that's not the case. If I'm bidding on Find Romance in Colorado, and the user types in Romance in Colorado Find, then the value will be passed as Romance in Colorado Find and the header on my website will be Romance in Colorado Find, instead of the message I intended.

This creates a problem, because I'm able to create dynamic pages for Google, but I'm not able to use the same technique for Yahoo. I think this technique helps me, so it's frustrating.

Yes, you can attach additonal query strings in addition to the tracking url's.

For example, your url will look something like this.

http://www.yoursite.com/landingpage.php?SID=whatever&OVRAW=keywordsearched&OVKEY=keyword
