Outsourcing landing pages

Does anyone here outsource landing page creation? I've been looking into it since my graphic design skills are a little weak.

Any recommendations for people or companies that do this sort of work well?

Thanks!

Hi Mike

Don't know what your budget is like but a guy called Keeb creates LP's for Shoemoney(Do a Google on this guy if you don't know who he is.) and I was in touch with him about costs. He also sent me some examples.

Here is what he said:
"My turn around is generally 24 to 48 hours. Depending on the complexity of the design. Sometimes if I am in a groove I can get designs out in less than 24 hours but I like to have enough time to actually do the work."

Here are his costs:
Under 3 pages = $75 per page
3 - 6 pages = $65 per page
6 - up = $50
This is all based on per order.

His site is elfworkz.com but you'll need to get in touch with him to send you some examples of his Landing Page designs. (I have some on my PC somewhere but I can't find them to pass onto you. Dohhh!)

Not used him myself yet but did MSN with him and he comes across as a really good, laid back guy who knows what he's talking about.

Other option is good old Elance etc etc.

Thanks slainte - I actually found this guy today and e-mailed him. He got back to me with his site. His landing page examples are on:

www.ewlanders.com

Nice work, but I almost think I can do better myself and not have to pay. Anybody used keeb? I might give it a shot anyway, no harm in trying and if it boosts my conversion rate it will definitely pay for the cost of the pages. There is a lot of positive sentiment toward the impact of his work.

One question I have though - by the looks of his pages, they are very graphic intensive and low on actual text that is not part of the graphics. Do you think this will impact Google's quality score when these pages are used in AdWords?

Thanks,
Mike

I just e-mailed my colleague Scott Miller from Vertster. He recently outsourced a big landing page project to India. He said the results weren't half bad... Look for his reply in the next 24-48.

Best,

Hey Mike,

Have you tried using templates? I really like 4templates.com. Most of the designs are xhtml/css that are really easy to make unique and they usually cost less than $30 per template.

I've looked into templates but never actually bought one. My main beef with templates is that they are not necessarily optimized for sales as landing pages. What I'm looking for is a specialist that not only has design skills, but has experience specifically in creating landing pages that are optimized for use in PPC campaigns. Maybe that's a lot to ask for :D Someone like that might be able to outdo my designs though.

Yes we used a group in India to do some landing page development, using the Scriptlance service. I suggest giving it a try. They maybe don't have the absolute best designers, but they are not bad at all. The cost savings of putting it out to bid is huge. I think we paid less than $30 per unique landing page template design. The group we used is http://www.meltingpx.com/ and if you view their site, you can get an idea of the work.

The main thing is to make sure you write up a detailed RFP (be as specific as possible.) THese guys really aimed to please and made sure they were going in the right direction throughout the project.

Thanks for all the input everyone. With a little legwork and some CSS training, I was able to develop a template that I'm really happy with and has (so far) increased conversions for some of my products. There's going to be a time when I'll be looking for a lot of landing pages in short order though, so I'm taking note of these resources.

I am not sure what you are asking? Do you want to know if you can be successful as an affiliate from India? Or do you want to know if you can get landing page designs from India?

Cheers,
