I quit my day job too!

Well, I have owned my own online business since 2001 selling hard goods, but got tired of the customer service hassle and the whole online retail game...yes I work at home and am my own boss, but I disliked what I was doing and so it definitely seemed like a 'day job' to me for sure!

So last Oct I ordered a book by Jeremy Palmer (which really got me started in affiliate marketing) and now after 9 months of hard work, panic attacks, etc. I am finally phasing out my 'retail' sales job completely and going 100% affiliate marketing.

I'm currently making between $13,000 - $16,000 per month in net profits (all from affiliate marketing) but plan to try and get to $4,000/day in net profits by next year...Jeremy has been a great inspiration to me, and I really appreciate his advice.

The biggest secret I have learned to succeed in affiliate marketing is to really keep at it (a difficult thing to do when you lose money day after day, or when your top earning campaign and product tank overnight!)

Make sure you are promoting at least 5-6 good offers at one time, so that you'll have some backup in the event one or two promotions goes south on you, and they will...and always spend 80% of your time on those promotions making you 80% of your income.

We just barely moved out of a basement apartment into a really nice home with quite a view, thanks to affiliate marketing. There's nothing like taking 2 weeks off to move, seeing that $600+ per day in profits rolling in while you decide where to hang pictures in your new house!

Affiliate marketing takes hard work, but the good news is, you can take time to enjoy your efforts, and over time, if done correctly, you can work less and earn more.

I cannot think of any other job that offers the benefits and potential rewards of affiliate marketing...there is so much opportunity and so many new promotions coming online everyday, that anyone who wants to succeed truly can! Just get started right now!

Congratulations Gary! I'm very happy for you.

Future day job quitters, pay attention to Gary's advice. His recent journey reminds me of my own affiliate marketing experience.

I suspect that your previous experience as an entrepreneur taught you a lot about hard work and persistence. Those qualities play a major role in your success as an affiliate.

Congrats Gary! I completely agree with your advice of spending more time with the campaigns that are earning the most. But I especially agree with your advice of persistence. Any affiliate marketer is going to have failures, and I think how you go about dealing with them in your business and in your mind will determine your success to a large degree.
