Invalid Links Generating Traffic - Loss Of Commissions??

I joined a merchant in CJ recently and set up their text and banner links on my website. From 14th - 20th October I made 3 sales and earned commissions. Encouraged by this I increased the reach of my PPC campaign.

Despite this I had no further sales. On checking my CJ account yesterday I ran a report for "Invalid Links Generating Traffic".

It showed that ALL the links that I had on my website for the above merchant were invalid and that the links had recieved 33 clicks. This really puzzles me as:

(1) Only a few days before they were valid and had earned me commissions.

(2) The same links are still available from the advertiser under "Get Links". I checked this using the link ID code.

Why are my links showing up as invalid? My worry is that I have generated further sales for which I am not being given credit.

Any help / advice is much appreciated!

My advice would be to contact the merchant to find out what's going on. You want to make sure you're using the right links.

Hi Jeremy

I have not changed the links since I put them up on my site. The links that generated the sales are now showing as invalid links generating traffic 2 days later. I have not edited or changed anything in that time.

What puzzles me as well is that the links that they say are now invalid are still available on "get links" from the advertiser / merchant.

What I am really keen to know is if the more experienced members of the forum have had a similar problem? If so how was it resolved?
