Jeremy, where are you?

Jeremy, this forum seems to have died. Where are you? Are you still supporting it?

Jeremy, where are you?

This forum is still alive, there is no activity for a couple reasons:

1. Jeremy stopped selling his ebook "High Performance Affiliate Marketing" so there are no newbies asking questions here. Don't worry, as he stated in a recent newsletter he has new plans for the members of this forum in 2008.

2. Xmas season is when most affiliate marketers make most of their income for the year. Therefore everyone is very busy trying to focus on their sites and maximize their ROI.

If you have a question post it here, one of us will answer it when we have a chance.

Hi Guys,

I'm heading a new direction with QYDJ in 2008. I'm going to make an announcement this Monday, and will have some follow up news later this year.

Best,

Jeremy

It's now Friday. Did I miss the announcement? I don't see it anywhere.

I will be transitioning to a new role at PPC Classroom. Going forward I am going to be one of six members on the PPC Classroom Board of Advisors.

Beginning in 2008 I will no longer be involved with PPC Classroom on a full-time basis.

There are two important motivators driving this change:

1 - In order to provide a more complete PPC training experience, it's important that other PPC experts are brought in to lend their knowledge and expertise. Heather Paulson, Rosalind Gardner, Amit Mehta, Keith Baxter and Anik Singal are all leaders in their respective fields and can bring more experience collectively than I could on my own.

2 - Between PPC Classroom, Quit Your Day Job, and my affiliate business I am working over 100 hours a week. I have stretched myself too thin, which has put a lot of strain on me and my family.

I have always given a lot of personal attention to my students through web forums, e-mail, and even telephone support. This personal touch has enabled me to help a lot of people, but has also made it difficult to balance work, family, and my personal life. -Some of you may already know that I stopped selling my e-book earlier this year. I simply couldn't squeeze more time out of the day to help new members.

At some point early next year I will be launching a new version Quit Your Day Job, which will leverage more community support and provide a better experience for members.

In the meantime, my focus is going to be on supporting Optimize My Site, my affiliate business, my advisory role at PPC Classroom and most importantly my family.

All the best,

Jeremy

PS It was nice to finally meet you in person in Las Vegas.

Hi Jeremy, this is Brad the one that originally started this one post.

I am not only a member of QYDJ but also PPC. I have kept very quiet with all the complaining over at PPC because I don't agree with it. I made my original post here just because we haven't heard from you recently, but for that I know your super busy, super stressed out I'm sure and most important...you need your time with your family.
At this point in time I'm not sure I'll be staying with PPC because I believe more in following your standards and business practices. Also as a member of PPC I have discovered Amit and I also like what I see in him and his practices. He has a kick ass (sorry for the language) blog...so I'm thinking you guys have what I need. I do follow Rosalind Gardner and I also follow a very good friend in Collin McDougal who believes in VEO and Web 2.0. With the four of you I think I have a very good "team" behind me and can succeed. And that I need to do. I have set a goal of September to be free of my job, pay off bills and have myself and my wife without the worries and problems we now have.
After the holidays I do hope you will update us with what you have planned for QYDJ and we can make appropriate plans.
May you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
And may all of us that want to succeed in the coming year do so.

Jeremy,

First I want to tell you that you have my continued support. I look forward to what you're rolling out for 2008. This time, I think you're probably doing it by yourself. When I first heard that you're going to do PPC Classroom and the working arrangement, I felt sorry for you and my prediction has been correct generally. Here's what I shared in another thread several months ago:

Quote:
I knew there was a membership but I thought that was included in a one-off $497. I definitely was not aware there was a monthly subscription of $49.97.

I am sure Jeremy would do his utmost to help people in the forum. But I feel that Jeremy has been taken advantage of. He'll be doing all the work and earning his fair share, but the work of the other partner will just be watching his bank balance grow.

Jeremy should have done all this himself. It would not have the huge impact of an Internet Marketing guru-choreograhed massive launch but over time Jeremy would earn more and have complete control over everything.

The key to having a successful membership is the content. Jeremy is the one putting months into developing the content. I really feel sorry for Jeremy and I really do feel he's been taken advantaged of.

There are people who could have taught Jeremy how to easily do a membership, people like Ryan Deiss and Noah Fleming, and yet maintain complete control.

My prediction for the PPC Classroom forum is not good. It will end up like the others -- a minority of successful motivators and a majority of disappointed unsuccessful members. If Jeremy has already revealed all in the course, I don't see that there'll be much to sustain the forum and membership on an ongoing basis. The retention rate will be low and the dropout rate will be high.

I just hope Jeremy's reputation will be unscathed, because he is truly a very genuine and great guy.

I am very glad that your role at PPC Classroom is now an advisory role. You've made the right decision. You got your life back. You and others may not agree, but I did feel that you were being taken advantage of. So now I am very happy for you and for this community.

You have my continued support and I look forward to 2008 with you and the others here.

Best regards,
Jason
