CJU 2008

I just reserved my hotel room for CJU 2008 and was wondering if anyone else from the board was planning to go. I know it's still 6 months away, but if you want a room at the hotel where the conference is being held, it's probably a good idea to start thinking about getting a room.
I definitely recommend CJU to everyone. I attended CJU for the first time in 2007 and walked away with lots of contacts and had a great time. It was nice to get the chance to meet Jeremy in person and I couldn't pass up the chance to visit Santa Barbara.

I'm thinking about it.
CJU 2008
I'll be in Europe in August and hoping to be back in time for CJU in September. It looks like Affiliate Summit East is a writeoff though... :(

I'm thinking about going to Affiliate Summit East since I'm in Florida. Has anyone been there before? Are there a lot of chances to make contacts and learn new stuff about the industry?
Thanks,

CJU 2008
James,
I was at ASE last year in Miami. It was really great - I got to meet a lot of affiliates (including Jeremy), merchants, and network reps. One of the highlights for me was chatting with Todd Crawford (formerly of CJ) about motorbikes. Even though I don't ride one, we had it out over safety laws and equipment and rules of the road. Before I QMDJ I was an engineer in transportation safety so that was fun. Maybe Jeremy has swapped motorbike stories with Todd at some point...
Anyway, Jeremy held a small mastermind session for QYDJ members of which three of us were there. It was great to ask questions and learn in a meeting-style atmosphere. Not sure if he held one at ASW, but if anyone here is planning to attend a conference that Jeremy will be at, be sure to bug him about holding a meeting...
Also, the parties were great if you're into that. Miami's a pretty crazy town and I'm sure we just scratched the surface.
The big part of it all for me was the reality of seeing that there were real people, just like you and me, succeeding big time in affiliate marketing. I had kinda felt like I might have been in over my head when I first started affiliate marketing (no marketing experience, no web experience), but after talking to all those folks I realized that I have the capability and every opportunity to succeed on that scale as well. I decided there's no reason why I couldn't be among the elite and so I set about it.
That alone was worth the price of admission.
Next conference I go to, I'll make it more about relationships and less about the nuts and bolts of the business.

I'll be attending AS East and CJU. I should do another MasterMind - it was a lot of fun.
See you guys in Boston and/or Santa Barbara.
Best,
Jeremy
Idea for QYDJ people
I'll be at AS-Boston as I live just outside of Boston. Also trying to deal with the $949 early bird price for 3 days.
Idea for Jeremy. How about to locate other people at any conference, we get some tshirts made up with the running guy on the front and url on the back? That way we can stop people and introduce each other.
Not looking for a tshirt as much as a way to network in real life with other QYDJ people. Just an idea.

I've got some ideas for ASE
I've got some ideas for ASE '08. I'm also toying with the idea of doing another QYDJ-member session. More on this later.
Best,
Jeremy

Thanks for the offer ;)
Thanks for the offer ;) Maybe we should do a BoSox game... I promise to leave my Yankee cap @ home...
Midwest anyone?
It would cost me a fortune to get to Santa Barbara or Boston. Anything in the midwest? Air to Vegas isn't even cheap anymore.
