I just signed up for wordze and I am a bit confused about how to going about analyzing the data it provides. Does anyone here have experience with wordze and what if any other keyword research companies do you use or do you prefer?

Thanks

I don't have experience with Wordze. I prefer Google Keywords Tool, WordTracker, and Keyword Discovery. Out of those three, I've found Google Keywords Tool to be most effective ;)

isn't it strange that the free one is the most effective. At work I subscribe to all of them and prefer this and Aaron Wall's keyword suggestions tool the best.

Here's a wordze tutorial site I've used in the past.

I saw some posts on this subject in blogs. Look at Google. However, I think, not any service should puzzle you, and you gradually select to yourselves tools according to your requirements.

I don't have experience with Wordze, but it's one of the three keyword research tools recommended by Brian Clark, so it must be decent.

I have extensive experience with WordTracker, and find it indispensable. As Jeremy has noted in another thread, the traffic estimates that WordTracker puts out can't be trusted, but it has one killer feature: lateral search.

When you type a word in WT's lateral search, it queries two search engines for that word and then scans the resulting top 100 websites. It then scrapes the most frequent words/phrases in those sites' meta tags, and displays those words/phrases to you. You can then do additional keyword research on those words/phrases, which are often related to your initial word.

An example: if you type the phrase "make money online" in WT's lateral search box, it returns phrases like "internet marketing" and "make money at home". These are phrases that you can do more keyword research on to build your keyword list (of course, not all lateral search results will be directly relevant to your original word).

It requires work to develop a comprehensive list this way, but you can build a pretty big list of related terms.

Jeremy,

What paid keyword search tools do you use or do you just stick to google trends?

Here are my faves in order

Here are my faves in order of priority:

Research tools
1 - Google Keywords Tool
2 - WordTracker
3 - Keyword Discovery

Competitive (spy tools)
4 - KeywordSpy
5 - KeyCompete
6 - SpyFu

Keep in mind that spy tools don't always work as advertised. Setting up a successful keyword campaign requires a lot more work than simply swiping (what you think) is a good keyword list.
