Not very popular!

As this is the first post in this thread, can I assume that not many people here use email marketing? I know I never have.

I Use Aweber...

I use Aweber, but I haven't had much luck in sign-up's. Hopefully that will change as my sight becomes more established...

I used e-mail marketing more

Jeremy Palmer's picture

I used e-mail marketing more last year (2007) than ever before. The results were mixed, but I started to realize it's potential.

I created this thread when I relaunched QYDJ - so give it a little time. I'm sure more valuable info will start pouring in ;)

I'm launching my first

Green Giant's picture

I'm launching my first e-mail marketing campaign to service a specific niche. I've developed a site and added a supplementary blog and several content and landing pages to it. I'm hoping I'll be able to use this site without quality score problems on Google since it contains original, relevant content to the niche.

It's been a while since I poured a lot of money into a Google campaign, so we'll see what happens.

I collect opt-in email

I collect opt-in email addresses on one of my content sites, but haven't started using my list yet.

"The money's in the list" is such a popular saying in Internet marketing, there must be some truth to it...

Keeping intouch with customers

danlifeisfun's picture

I use email campaigns to keep in touch with my customers. Not only does it give your business a personal feel, but it drives customers back to your web site. Even the ones who have forgotten about you.

It is a must for any business.

Important aspect of Internet Marketing

dannig's picture

I have been using email marketing to keep users engaged in my site while I was re-designing it. Along with creating the new site I provided them with new, relevant content to build interest in the newsletter and the upcoming site. And like Dan said it keeps people coming back to your site and I have found that these are the visitors that go the deepest in my site and stay the longest.

I use Campaign Monitor to create my newsletters, design the sign up form and analyze results. It will always be a big part of my site because I do believe "the money is in the list".

I wanted to find out not was available when you search on google but actual experience anyone has had with a particular form that has worked for their website. Thanks!

You might want to check out the secure php contact form from Dagondesign - there's also a version for Wordpress. I've checked out the php/html one - it does what it's supposed to do, though there's some configuration involved if you want to embed it in an existing page. Can't speak for the Wordpress version.
