Firefox FTP plugin

If you use Firefox, and lets face it who doesn't?, I recommend FireFTP http://fireftp.mozdev.org/

It's a free plugin and, once installed, is accessed from the Tools menu.

Better than FileZilla in your opinion?

I've used both and I prefer

I've used both and I prefer FileZilla because I have found it to be more stable. I have had cases where the Firefox plug-in has locked my my browser. Also, I find it strange to be FTPing files in my web browser. That could be me though :) I can see where some people might flip between FTP and Web browsing if they are working on something. But hey, that's what ALT-TAB is for right? *wink* *wink*

Thanks for the recommendation. FireFTP worked great when I tested it anyway :)

FYI, I like it better than FileZilla if only because I do such little FTP (I mostly use SFTP) and it seems like every time I do start Filezilla I need to update it, LOL!

Having never used FileZilla

Having never used FileZilla I can't really comment. Prior to using FireFTP I used CuteFTP and SmartFTP and I prefer FireFTP to both. FireFTP has never locked my browser. It's true that both Cute and Smart have a few more features but I never used them anyway.

I actually prefer the FTP client being in the browser. That way I can install it on my version of mobilefirefox, which I keep on my thumb drive, and work on my business from my "job" without having to install any software on my employers PCs!
