A big hello from Bloomington, Indiana!

Hi Everyone,

My name is Jamie and I'm excited to be part of this vibrant community!

I've dabbled in quite a few different areas of making money on the Internet since 1997. Since 2001, however, I've been more of an Internet merchant along with being an Internetwork Marketer. I have my own affiliate base for my e-commerce store but am also signed up as an affiliate with a few merchants.

Affiliate marketing intrigues me because of the time, effort, and earnings potential between being a merchant and being an affiliate. I've been somewhat spoiled being a merchant for so long that I could never really get myself to jump full force into affiliate marketing. I have been heavily involved in Network Marketing simply because of the residual income possibilities.

So what I hope to gain here by being a member is to hopefully gain some insight as to why I should spend more time as an affiliate. As of right now, being that I've been in business now going on 12 years, I don't see a whole lot of difference in the amount of time, effort and earnings between being a merchant or an affiliate.

I want to thank Jeremy for opening up this program gratis and am still pinching myself wondering if it's for real! I first heard about Jeremy through PPC Classroom - great stuff!

Until the next time - let's all make lots of money!

Cordially,
Jamie

This really is a vibrant community.

I am from Boise Idaho and, like you, I can't believe Jeremy is doing this for free. I paid thousands of dollars to another internet marketing firm and I am still not turning a profit.

With your internet business experience, I am sure you will catch on quickly.

There is such a wealth of knowledge here and such an eagerness to help. This is truly a privilege of a lifetime.

Best wishes,

Joel Hunt

You either have to be an IU basketball fan or a Hoosier to get that.

Glad to see you on here Jamie-I'm north of you in Indy.

Hi Jamie

Glad you found a way to this community. I am still new myself but I already love this place. You will find plenty of free informations either in the forums or at the black ink project site. Enjoy your stay and share your thoughts :)

Best regards

Jamie,

I'm brand spanking new here, but was happy to see quite a few fellow Hoosiers introducing themselves. Since you're only 40 minutes down the road from me, I had to give you the shout out first.

I'll be really interested to hear your thoughts on the differences between being a merchant and an affiliate. I've had several clients willing to pour quite a bit into SEM to generate leads or sales. Now that I've begun to wrap my head around affiliate marketing, I think I should've been advising them to put at least some of their resources into AM. It seems like such a no brainer to tap into the collective expertise of a bunch of people who know how to find lots of inexpensive clicks and convert them into what you're willing as a merchant to pay for.

Was it hard for you to tap into the AM network as a merchant? Did you use one of the major AM networks like CJ? Is there anything you'd recommend to a merchant who's trying AM for the first time?

Sorry if these questions are a little off topic, but I feel myself becoming an AM evangelist the more I learn about it. And I would love to hear as much about it from both sides of the fence.

Hi Larlox

Welcome to the BIP/QYDJ community!

I live in the Gateway, but have driven through Circle City many times. (sorry, X trucker lingo, 10-4)

Any way, Jamie hasn't been actively posting lately, but I think you may find this past thread interesting regarding the differences between being a merchant and an affiliate :

Good luck.
