My Black Ink Project Diary

danlifeisfun's picture

I have put together a diary of my progress with The Black Ink Project.

I put the diary together for a few reasons. To keep me on task, motivated, accountable and to help other members of The Black Ink Project. My goal is to accomplish at least one task each day on my quest to create a great affiliate web site.

I encourage other Black Ink Project members to do the same. Together we can share our experience building our affiliate web sites.

Take a look and let me know what you think...http://tinyurl.com/6nap6

Dan-

That's a really great idea and Thank you for making it available for all members; that is very
generous of you do to so.
You have already been very generous with your time and many answers in the forum, already !
It has always been my experience, especially with learning projects of this kind of magnitude, that it is
very beneficial to walk through the process in the manner you are presenting with your TBIP diary, and at
the same time, to combine forces on the planning and thought processes. By that, not necessarily just bouncing
ideas around, but more checking in with other people to see where there may be a deviation in the progression
of the plan. Like a reality check to see if I have gone off on a tangent....
Thanks for the additional resources too- Jeff Jones blog and Don't Forget the Milk.

Do not judge your progress by anybody else's.

Listen to the webinars and take notes.

If something does not make sense, come to these forums and ask a question.

The same goes for the action guide. Ask if it isn't clear.

Dan's experience will help him move faster through this than yourself.

Do not get discouraged-you CAN do this!

I am saying this because I am only a few months into this myself. I wish we could get the assignments at the end of each webinar so it's still fresh.

I know this can't happen because of the huge amount of work Jeremy's got to do to get this done.

Perhaps if Jeremy does this again, he'll be able to change that.

Just some thoughts.

Now I'm back to assessing my niches.

Hi Jeff - this is good feedback re: the assignments. I wish I had enough time to put them together and have them ready at the end of the session, but I'm finding it takes between half and a full day to prepare them, which doesn't give me a lot of time to do anything else.

I have an idea that might help you with the action guides. Consider listening to the recorded version right before you embark on the assignments. By viewing the content twice, and taking action after the second viewing you'll have a deeper understanding of the content and how it applies to your business.

It is my goal to have the action guides done exactly one week after the live session. During a normal week you would receive 5 action guides (1 per day/for 5 consecutive days) until the next round of live sessions. With travel this week I wasn't able to keep that schedule, but going forward it shouldn't be a problem.

4 of the 5 sessions are posted - http://www.theblackinkproject.com/blog

The last action guide (session 5) is 50% done and should be online later tonight/early this morning ;)

Best,

Jeremy

Jeremy,

I really wish this forum let you subscribe to topics for follow-ups. I know you want us to frequent these forums but that's not always possible each day.

I just found your response.

Viewing the content twice before taking action is not a bad idea. However, I do take extensive notes during the live webinar and blog the day after about it. Taking at least one more hour for each session is not possible right now with my current project workload.

Make no mistake. I am not one who jumps all over the place and finishes nothing. Quite the contrary. It's because I have tightly budgeted my time that I have been able to move steadily ahead on my BIP site, keep my blog going and allot daily time for two site redesigns stemming from TBIP.

I totally believe your training is the most important thing I am doing right now but I am unable to put everything else aside as I'm sure you can understand.

Thanks for your great program and quick response to my post.

Best,

Jeff

Good feedback re: the forum. I currently have RSS feeds for each forum, thread, and for the entire QYDJ site. Just look for the orange button at the bottom of the screen to subscribe to your favorite topic(s).

Going forward I'll be looking into some more robust forum add-ons that will look and feel familiar to forum patrons.

Best,

Jeremy

Your affiliate success will come from two things.

1- Doing what Jeremy outlines in the BIP
2- Doing what Jeremy outlines in the BIP

Jeremy is laying out a very intuitive and comprehensive plan. If you stick to his plan and do not quit you will find success.

Good luck to all of us!
