Where is Webex Streaming version of this lesson?

Manny Knight's picture

The first three lessons had streaming versions available for people who missed the live sessions. The streaming versions are also good us people having difficulty with the download versions.

Anybody know where the Webex streaming versions of the last two lessons are?

Link to WebEx videos

Dreamer87's picture

Manny,

I found this link by accident on WebEx's site last week and bookmarked it for my use and to post here but someone else (Ryan maybe?) beat me to it. I don't know how to post a clickable link, but you can copy and paste it.

https://webexevents.webex.com/mw0305l/mywebex/default.do?siteurl=webexev...

Once there, choose Recorded Events and The Black Ink Project videos will be right at the top. Hope this helps.

Deb

Thanks Dreamer87

Your link leads to the missing streaming videos. Too bad Webex can't make finding them simple.

Thanks again.

Correction

Dreamer87's picture

That should be 'View Event Recordings" instead of Recorded Events and the link is clickable.

Update

Manny Knight's picture

I found the subdomain Webex uses for access to the stream recordings:

webexevents.webex.com

Just copy and past that into your web browser and hit enter. You will be redirected to the correct page.

Then click "View Event Recordings"

If you need to, search for "the black ink project"

Everything should then be visible.

Thanks again Dreamer87.

You're Welcome

I actually had the address you mentioned, also. However, I kept typing it with "www." which would take me to the search page--no big deal, just an extra step. After your post, I tried it as

http://webexevents.webex.com

This took me directly to the site, just as my original link did. However, this address is much shorter. So, thanks in return for mentioning the better link.

Having trouble with streams 3 & 4 on Mac

vw412fan's picture

Any other Mac folks having trouble with sessions 3 & 4? I was able to view and convert sessions 1 & 2, but for some reason I get no audio when I try to view session 3 using Dan's link above.

FWIW I found a site called www.media-convert.com that allows you to upload the .wmv file and convert it to another filetype of your choice. It converts it online and then you download the completed file. Free service.

I used it to convert sessions 3 and 4 to mp3 (for iPod) and avi (which I can open with VLC, and will allow me to view the slides).

The file sizes are a bit large, but at least I can play them on my Mac now. Hope this helps others that were having the same problem.

How large?

How larger are the file sizes?

I converted one of the .wmv locally to an .mpg and it ended up being 800Meg.

Thanks

Dan
