Boy I know I've been guilty of this! When you have a little extra cash to spend, it's easy to throw it around and see what (if anything) sticks. You'd do more good by giving it to a charity.

There's an article called People Buy Hope on the Simplenomics blog. I read it before writing any sales copy because it helps me to focus on benefits rather than features.
