Domain & Trade mark

Hi,

I am not sure whether this is considered as cybersquartting.

After checking the keywords demand and supply, I registered a domain name. Then, I realised the domain name (without the .com) is actually a trade mark of the product owner.

It's been few months and I did not use the domain name as I am not sure whether this is a legal problem. I would like to know if is this a problem, if I use the domain to promote the products?

Can I register a domain name which is same as the trade mark of the product and promote the product? (Off course, the web site will explicitly state that ABCProduct.com is not in anyway related to ABC Ltd, the owner of ABCProduct's trade mark, other then promoting ABCProduct as an affiliate of Amazon)

I would check with your affiliate manager. I own several "product name" domains, but I always run them by the affiliate manager first. Some legal departments are pretty strict about it, while others turn a blind eye to it.
