in deciding to use a forum..

In the long run.. I know that a forum only helps to build a stronger authority. The problem is, how does one go about getting the forum popular and running.. It's not a case of "If you build it, they will come", at least not with most niches..

Would I use PPC, buy diggs and stumbles? Even doing this I see it as difficult to get active users.

I owns many forums and it is very tough and very time consuming until you have dedicate member..you got to baby site lots of users...and spammers

Brian,

As CT suggests I think this is the route to go, especially when you would follow in the steps of Tim Ferris (4 hour workweek) ... oursource it. It depends on the niche you are entering, if that is still the tyres one, I am not sure how many people you can find that want to write post on the forum and others that want to answer them.

But as Jeremy mentioned as well, I would only focus on that as soon as you have the other parts of your sites done. As it is costing a LOT of time (if you do not outsource it).

The income from my affiliate business can pay for it.. but yes, I'm reading the 4 hour workweek now, so maybe I will change my mind, or be profitable before I get done reading, lol
