Jeremy - PPC or SEO ?

Hi Jeremy:

Thanks for the excellent ebook...

It appears that PPC is your preferred method of promotion? Is that correct? Have you any site that you soley depend on SEO or you have PPC campaigns running for all of them?

On a related note...PPC could turn pretty expensive. Without going into specifics (for obvious reasons...), could you give a ball-park on your ROI from PPC?

Thanks again for all your support.

I started out doing natural search, but I now prefer the instant results I can achieve with paid search. When I started out I had more time than money, so I focused on natural search and did very well with it. Now I have more money than time, so I focus more on paid search.

I highlight natural search in my book because it can be a great way to get free traffic to your site, but it's important to recognize that it takes a lot of time and effort to achieve top search engine rankings.

I optimize for paid search and seo on most of my sites. Sometimes the SEO takes a while to kick-in, but the paid search gives me instant feedback about a product or service category.

Thank you for prefacing "for obvious reasons..."

Hint - I won't settle for a paid search campaign that has less than a 100% ROI, and I several campaigns that do much better than that.

Disclaimer - 100%+ ROI on paid search is not a typical result. Don't use this as a benchmark to grade your own performance.

If your new to paid search, you should be happy with a double digit return, and aim for a triple digit return.

Hope this helps.

Best,

Jeremy

Jeremy - what do you mean by "optimize for paid search?" Do you mean inserting the search keyword somewhere prominent on the landing page, or is there something else?

Thanks for your prompt respnses...looks like you are a night person too :D :D
