How many landing pages per site?

Hi Jeremy
Do you recommend having a landing page for every product group you have on your site?
For example, I saw in a previous post of yours that you have separate wwii, xbox, PS2 and PS3 landing pages all going to the Gamefly site.
So, in your ultra mobile laptop site, will you have a landing page for every laptop you feature, or for every manufacturer?

I'll have both category and product landing pages. This will allow me to go after people at various stages of the buying cycle. I learned this lesson the hard way on a recent HP campaign ;) I failed to build category pages and a lot of my traffic leaked out because they couldn't compare the laptop to other models in the same category.
