New market research tool

mmuise's picture

An article in AdAge today makes reference to brandtags.net, a site that lets people enter their top-of-mind opinions of specific brands. The results are presented in a "tag cloud". I did a search on Dell and the results were interesting.

There's a caveat to using a site like this for market research, though: sites that poll consumers for their views often bring out extremes, and attract people who either love or hate a product.

Nevertheless, it's interesting to see the words that people associate with particular brands.

Around 80000 Visitors Under One Month

I have measured traffic statistics of that website from own curiousity and found that since its launch, around 80000 people visited this site - that's around one month!

I am wondering what is the secret.

It's an interesting concept,

It's an interesting concept, but I think a simple table would be better than the tag cloud - especially for that much information. Thanks for the recommendation - lots of interesting data to comb through.
