Inserting "nofollow" into affiliate links

Hi everybody,
Does any one know whether or not it is good to insert "nofollow" to affiliate links?
If I not insert "nofollow" will my page be indexed faster? What are pros & cons?
And how about not affiliate links?
Let's say I write article and mention some sites in my article, should I insert "nofollow" into these links?

I would only recommend using "nofollow" on paid advertisements/reviews. I haven't seen any evidence that would suggest adding "nofollow" to your links would help your search ranking or index speed.

But if I don't add "nofollow" it will damage my PageRank, isn't it?
If I don't add "nofollow" I will give away some power, isn't it?
I always thought to do it apposite way of what you say - I don't use "nofollow" if there are paid advertisements or reviews.
