Anyone Using lynda.com ?

Hi
After deciding to enhance my limited web/graphic design skills, I turned to lynda.com's online training.
What a great, affordable resource, I thought.
After closer scrutiny, it appears the $25/month plan has a GIANT hole in it. NO EXERCISE FILES!
How the hell is one supposed to work along with the various trainers without loading these files into the software trying to be learned?
If I could create these files on my own, I really don't think I'd need the courses to begin with. Make sense?
Has anyone had any success using lynda.com without spending the $375/year one time fee to get these work along exercise files?
I offered to sign up for a year and be billed monthly, but no response as of yet.
Thanks in advance.
Barry

Love lynda.com.
I have Lynda.com and I love it. If you want to learn any of the software they have tutorials for I highly recommend it.
I have the $25 per month subscription but never felt I was losing out for not paying for it yearly and getting the exercise files. I used it to learn more advanced things in Fireworks, Dreamweaver, SEO, Sharepoint, MS Project.
I don't remember having to wait once I signed up..just gave them a credit card number username password and was ready to immediately sign in and start learning. It really is worth it.

Hi Dannig Thanks for the
Hi Dannig
Thanks for the reply.
Glad to hear the monthly service is working out for you without the extra files. I just really get stuck on some things worse than others but I'm going to give it a try.
I just assumed those work along files were the key to this online learning process.
Thanks again and have a great weekend!

Not to take away from that
Not to take away from that website but Youtube has amazing how to tutorial videos on just about any subject these days if you look for it.

I agree Ryan, good point. I
I agree Ryan, good point.
I have learned several things on Youtube with Photoshop Elements for example, that aren't in any Adobe help guide or paid learning service.

I didn't realize the monthly
I didn't realize the monthly plan didn't include the exercise files? Seems petty to me. Why not include them?
Thats sort of what I thought
Thats sort of what I thought Jeremy.
Especially after I requested to lock in for a year at the Premium price of $375 and just be billed over a 12 month period. Seemed like a no brain-er to me. NOT.
You still did right by recommending them as a resource for BIP though Jeremy. The lessons and instructors are top shelf.
Dannig was also correct by mentioning she didn't really feel too much at a loss for not having the exercise files, as I now agree.
The Dreamweaver CS3 Essential Training went just fine without those exercise files, and for anyone else reading this, you can swipe the images necessary for the Photoshop CS3 Essential Training (and probably beyond) by using a free, or paid, screen capture program, it just takes a bit more effort, but so far, so good.
