Hey everyone, i was just brainstorming for my landing page i was wondering,
has anyone ever tried putting music to their websites, and if so, how well did that work out?
Jest the same way theirs royalty free photos, i was wondering about maybe getting
royalty free music and have it subtly playing in the background of my website? What do you
guys think?
I heard that video has worked really well, so i was just wondering about music?
This is for everyone to answer, not just Jeremy, but i'd love to hear what you think Jeremy.
God bless and lets all stay focused to our success,
Eddoxx.

I think this is a bad idea.

I think this is a bad idea. Generally speaking, people don't like music that auto-plays in the background; it's a distraction, and offers no benefits. People just want quality information.

don't do it

Don't put automatted music in your background. In fact that many peopl are listening to their own music in winamp or whatever kind of mp3 player you rarely give them control to stop the music. You can of course put a player online where your visitors can decide themself to play the music ;)

Avoid music

When sites first started adding background music, I thought it was a neat feature. Now, I find it a little annoying. Some sites only place the music on their home page, so when you browse another page on their site, the music stops. When you go back to the home page, it starts all over again. Also, I sometimes browse the web at work. Therefore, I keep my sound on mute in case I happen upon a site with sound. I don't want unexpected audio of any kind announcing to my boss that I'm surfing the web on company time. :-)
