Seeing many more "hops" than the traffic I expect to generate

When I look at my Clickbank Analytics I'm seeing many more "hops" than the traffic I'm sending to it via my Google PPC campaign.

Does anyone know why this would happen?

It's probably search engine robots following links on your web site. This can also happen when direct linking from adWords, as it happened to me earlier this year. I got a call from a CJ merchant worried about my conversions (and their EPC) :-) It turned out to be Google's spider trying to figure out minimum bids for all my keywords for this merchant. After few days, my Google and CJ stats were no longer different.
