Need help please

So I went ahead and setup a direct linking campaign using adwords (I had good keywords with very low bids and my ad positions were all in the 1-6 range). All was going as planned and then this morning I get an email from google saying my ad was removed due to an inaccurate display url ~ so I went ahead and corrected the problem and saved the new ad. It seems as thou google has killed my direct linking campaign because of a simple mistake. My minimum keyword bids have jumped from $ 0.12 to $1.20 and some took a jump to almost $6.00.

As stated above I have fixed the mistake I made, and now I'm wondering what I have to do to get out of this mess. I have changed my ad copy numerous times and still my keyword bids are not even remotely affordable anymore. And even if I add completely new keywords to the campaign they are still a lot higher then what they were a few days ago.

So if someone could please give me some advice on how to repair this damage it would be much appreciated.

Well at least my google adwords account is setup and i have a pretty good idea how to use it.

Thanks

I don't know if you can get out of this mess. Once your keyword bids go up, they almost never come down. I don't necessarily think it has to do with the change you made, it's probably related to Google Quality Score aka "Google Slap".

You might want to change your strategy for this campaign. Have you considered building a destination site? Maybe a domain change with quality/original content will help?

It might sound a little drastic but it may well help to open a new AdWords account and start over.

This niche is not looking to favorable anymore so I may move on to another niche. I am also wondering what will happen if I add new keywords to a different campaign within the same account? Will I still have the same problems(higher keyword bids etc) or are the current problems related to the current campaign only. If I delete the current campaign will my problems go away or does this affect my entire adwords account(I hope not).

I'm not 100% sure of the answer to the question so I can't be accurate. My suggestion would be test your theory by adding keywords to another campaign and making note of any changes in bid price. Also, try deleting the current campaign, if you don't think you'll use it again, and see if that alters the bid prices on other campaigns.

My guess would be the other campaigns will still be OK but I could be wrong. (hopefully not)
