Stay away from Miva

I had a terrible experience with Miva. I opened an account with the minimum $50 as a trial. I set the account to replenish manually.
When my account went down to $25, they slapped me with another $50 although I set the account to manual, it still worked on automatic.
I then proceeded to contact them only to get boilerplate answers and got so fed up that I decided to cancel the service. Their interface was lousy anyway and their clicks not that many.
I took me several months to get my money back. I had to get American Express involved to get my money back. They kept $25 as per their "agreement" that says there is a $25 non refundable fee.
Stay with the big ones. They work.

Sorry to hear about your experience with Miva. They were equally as bad when they were known as FindWhat. Guess the name change didn't help :)
You're right about 2nd tier networks. I've never made a consistent profit using a 2nd tier network.
