cache: and site:

What does it mean if you find your page in Google by typing
cache:mydomainname.com
but not when you type
site:mydomainname.com
Does that mean Google has cached your website, but it hasn't been added to the Google listings?

site:yourdomain.com is used
site:yourdomain.com is used for getting the actual indexed sites
cache:yourdomain.com is used to have a see on not found/old sites. Sites are usually cached the first time they got crawled from the googlebot
Hope this is understandable :)
