How do your classify affiliate marketing business?

I like to keep things simple but I do think that a lot of questions can be answered if we just know how the government classifies an affiliate marketing business.
Some of the folks that I have seen have done different things when registering their companies.
These are some examples of classification:
- Publishing company
- Advertising company
- Marketing company
- Media company, etc.
So it all depends on how you define your business according to the government's eyes. And once that is established, it will make it easy for tax purposes on what to do, what not to do.
Anyone can comment on this or have any insight?

I'm curious what you mean by this. You seem to be suggesting the tax rates will differ depending on your business type. Is that correct?
My definition would be a marketing company as that is primarily what is being done.
