Hunting Niche????

I'm trying to find some decent merchants in the hunting field. I've applied to Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops, but haven't heard back quite yet. Anybody have some other ideas?? Appreciate it.

Hey there baileyhunts.

I would suggest Sportsman Warehouse. Very big in our hunting area of Idaho.

Sportsmans is a great place, but I'm not sure if they have an affiliate program. I contacted them and I guess I'll play the waiting game once again. I appreciate it.

Check out Avantlink and Pepperjam... they both have quite a few "outdoors" merchants....

Go to the manufacturer's sites to see if they have affiliate programs. You'll probably get better commissions from the manufacturer.

One affiliate network that has tons of hunting gear is eBay. Yes, I know that the commissions can be paltry, but I've promoted some hunting items through them and did OK. Though I know zilch about hunting, I've identified one particular hunting sub-niche that is fairly hot. I'm now working on building out a content site (WordPress blog) based around this sub-niche and monetized mainly with eBay RSS feeds. I think if you have a real passion for hunting, then the content should come easily and such a site/blog could do well, especially once the organic (free) traffic starts rolling in. PPC isn't the only way to get traffic.
