Landing page click through destination

Hey everybody I need your opinions, I've been working on this offer that basically has a free evaluation for which the users need to fill out a form, the form however is not on my landing page. The affiliate links I've placed all over my LP come from PepperJam and they all go to the merchant's home page not the form that users would have to fill out for the evaluation. So this is leaving me a little bit doubtful about this working out properly.
I think I read or heard somewhere that it's important to minimize the number of clicks, at this point the users would go from the search results to my landing page, which has a pretty good call to action on the top fold, then to the merchant's home page, where they need to click through with their call to action button to go to the form for their evaluation.
Does it sound discouraging to anybody else?
Thanks

I think it is somewht discouraging
having users click 3 different links before filling out the form does seem to be discouraging. Instead of clickthrough from your LP to the merchant's Home page, is deeplinking a valid option for this particular merchant? If so, you should definitely use deeplink.
Btw, I want to ask if anybody knows how to form those lead form in my own LP instead of users go to merchants' to fill out???
hmmm
Yes, that's also something I considered myself, you could easily get a script that could do that on your own landing page, but I'm pretty sure the merchant I'm dealing with would not allow it and you probably would have to be already producing a lot for them. These scripts are available free I think but you can also buy them and I don't think they would be that expensive. But it certainly presents a better option.
