Getting right first time

Hi,
Excellent session on finding a niche but I have a question about my own niche.
I have been running a website as a merchant since 1999 - www.yourspersonally.co.uk. It has always been a seasonal, part-time project selling personalised letters from Santa. I have organically optimized it and I am on page one of Google (and even position one at Christmas), for the two main keywords "Letter from Santa” and "Santa Letter". The site is well established with a PR of 2. Takings are a modest £20,000 ($40,000) over the festive season.
I want to eventually move away from selling products (including the Santa letter), and move into affiliate marketing full time. Already I can see your course is going to be beneficial in helping me achieve my aim.
Questions: Do I expand my existing site by using affiliate links to promote other similar products i.e. personalised gifts, gadgets, adventure days, gifts for him, gifts for her etc? The Santa letter would then be relegated to just one page within the site during the year although it would of course have home page prominence at Christmas. Or, do I leave the site alone and start other mini sites for affiliate programmes? Or perhaps I do both? Or are their any other suggestions...........?
I do want to get this right from the start and any advice would be appreciated.

Exactly!
You are on the right track.
Sounds like you have great traffic and return customers. Now it is time for you to monitze the site by promotting affiliate products that relate to your niche.
I would not get to crazy at first. Pick one or two products you feel closly match your niche and go from there.
