SpeedPPC mainly for Google?

Does anyone else use SpeedPPC?
I just created my first campaign using SpeedPPC and it appears it's mainly geared towards Google.
In one of my ads, I used the dynamic insertion for SpeedPPC and had
Find {seed:default text}
I exported my campaign for Yahoo and when I looked at the .csv file, I noticed that all my ads using the dynamic feature were all being done based on the Google ad title length. I had several ads where there was enough room to fit the keyword in the ad title, but SpeedPPC used the default text.
Even if it is geared towards Google, if you're going to give a feature to export to Yahoo, then you should optimize the ads for Yahoo.

James, I bought SpeedPPC a week ago and am having a similar problem with adCenter. I'm getting tons of errors in my adCenter account - but I haven't figured out how to fix the problem in SpeedPPC before exporting.

I'm having to do it
I'm having to do it manually, but I'm still researching for another way to do it. It's kind of a pain becase I'm having to go through the .csv file and look at the ads for hundreds of ad groups. I guess it's not too much of a pain, because the program still saved me tons of time, but there's got to be a way.
Good luck Moe, I'll keep you posted if I find out anything.
Another thing that's kind of a pain is one of the FAQs on the website was asking if you could add negative keywords using SpeedPPC and the answer said no, because you can add them easily using the AdWords Editor. That means if you're using Yahoo, you have to go into 400+ ad groups and add the keywords. I can add them to the ad groups faster by downloading the whole campaign, but it's still going to take a while.

Here's what I do...
Hi smile,
I have been using speedppc for awhile. I just started using Jeremy's oms software. Here is what I do.
I build the campaign in speedppc for google adwords
I export the campaign as a csv and then upload this into oms
I then export this for yahoo and msn
I then upload to yahoo and msn
Then if you want to edit the titles and such in yahoo and msn since they let you have more characters, you can export into excel and make the changes for yahoo and msn and then upload them back up to yahoo and msn.
This has been working great for me..hope this helps alittle.

Renee, You're a life saver
Renee,
You're a life saver and a genius!! I actually have a posting in another section asking the best way to go from Yahoo to Google, since I bid on all 3 match types in Google, but you're exactly right, why not start with Google. For one, Speed PPC is geared towards Google and also, you get your 3 match types to begin with. Then when you import to OMS and export for Yahoo, OMS should strip out all the other match types.
I was trying to figure out how to start with Yahoo and add all the other match types, but why do all that extra work, it defeats the purpose of using a tool like SpeedPPC. I guess since I've always been a Yahoo guy, I usually think of using Yahoo first.
Thank you!

Hey Moe and Renee, Here's
Hey Moe and Renee,
Here's another OMS question you might know the answer to.
I have a large CSV file that I'm going to need to break into smaller pieces so I can upload to OMS, but what button do I use for all the uploads?
Do I use the New Campaign button for the firs upload and then the Modify button for all the other uploads, or do I use the New Campaign button for all uploads?
Once I upload the first file, it's no longer a new campaign, so I want to make sure using the New Campaign button doesn't overwrite the first post. I'm also worried about using the Modify button, because I don't want it to replace the first upload because it thinks I'm trying to modify my campaign to get rid of the first post.
I just want to make sure before I start uploading to make sure everything is tracked.
Thanks
James

Hmmm...I haven't used the "Modify" button yet.
I would assume the correct thing to do is use the New Campaign button for all uploads. But don't quote me on that!
Maybe you should submit a ticket to OMS support?
Sorry I couldn't be of more help, James.

James, Use the new campaign
James,
Use the new campaign upload to upload part of your campaign. Then in OMS click on that campaign link and click on the "import new ad groups" to import the the rest of your ad groups and keywords. You can import more than one ad group at a time, you just need to break it down in excel or a similar program.
I am not sure how large your file is, but you can also change memory limit. In the OMS folder open the file common.php and increase the memory limit, this might help you import larger campaigns.
For example the current memory limit is set as:
ini_set('memory_limit', '16M');
Change the 16M to 48M or 96M.
Also, most databases limit uploads to 2mb at a time. If you have access to your php ini file you can change the 2mb limit to 8mb or whatever your hosting provider allows. This will help you import larger campaigns.

Hey Jeff,
Thanks for the info, I've been looking through OMS the last few days and completely missed the Import New Ad Groups link. Now I can start uploading my campaigns.
thanks
