Evaluate This Site

Hi There,

I am trying to build a site that gives information about the latest TV deals online everyday. I am a new affiliate and I have been spending money on google with no conversions yet. :( I have read lots of articles about how to right affiliate articles and I have read the posts about great landing pages.

I think I follow the rules by matching the copy closely to my ad text. I have a great quality score on all my keywords. I use bullet points to state the benefits. I have calls to action (maybe they are not obvious enough) my actual CPC to get people to the merchants site is not bad but I have yet to make a sale. Is my writting to much of a hard sell which I have been criticised for in the past.

I read something from one of the www.theblackinkproject.com presentations which classes me as a scared affiliate! I don't know how much you should spend before you turn a campaign off. Please review my site any help will be much appreciated.

Looks like your site is managed by an entity called BDR which is supposedly an expert in internet marketing, design, affiliate marketing. Is BDR also you. If so you or BDR should be an expert.

BDR provide my hosting and helped me to implement wordpress and put the site live. I don't want to have to pay BDR to do the marketing for me too, I want to become an affiliate marketer myself, are you able to give me any feedback as to how I can achieve this without having to pay BDR to advise me?

Cheers

Is the hosting free. If not then get the BDR link out of your footer. Its called a leakage. If you are using adwords to drive traffic to your site, some of that traffic is going to BDR, for free. Why should you be paying google to drive traffic to BDR.

It also is true about the css theme site link you have. You need those links out, at least from your landing pages.

Thanks Sam good advice, I am not certain about taking the menus out of the landing pages as users can go to other products that they might like, as all the products are TVs they might see another offer that interests them and as all of the products on the site will make me commission I don't see that as a problem. What do you think?

Is such a huge distraction. I start to fiddle with and play around with that forgetting what I'm actually looking for on your site. So I can see that as a major conversion bleed because a straightforward navigation bar would be much more concise. Nav Bar would get me to my objective much quicker.

I notice that BDRLondon dot com, BuyTVsOnline dot com and Padzo dot com are all registered to the same person - if your hosting company registered your domain with their info I hope you either have a written agreement or REALLY trust them - that's how domains get stolen.

Weren't you asking about vacuum cleaner promotion the other day? If you're new, stick to one subject/site until you get a handle on what you're doing.

I have lost a domain in the past because my web hosting company had my domain. When they went out of business, they sold my domain to another company. I couldn't get it back.
