To be honest I never saw a great difference between CTR on adsense with or without images.
Sure, everyone said images got a better CTR, but it just wasn't my experience. A big ad blog at the top of the page gets the best CTR on adsense versus any other implementation.
Jeremy, to those of us not members of webmasterworld, can you paraphrase what google said? The page cannot be accessed unless you pay for their membership, which is not in my budget now.
I have read from google in the past that images were okay, as long as they were separated by some kind of border or otherwise to not seem generated or produced by the ads.
